Executive Vice President of Administration and Chief Human Capital Officer
Brian Stolz joined Valeant in July 2011 as Executive Vice President of Administration and Chief Human Capital Officer and will oversee Valeant’s human resources. Prior to joining Valeant, Mr. Stolz was most recently a Principal at ghSMART, a leadership consulting and advisory firm where he worked with major corporate and alternative investment clients on their most important people related issues including hiring, talent assessment and development, and succession planning. In this role, he assessed numerous C-Level executives and professionals, created and implemented tailored hiring and performance evaluation processes, and advised multiple boards and investment committees on their most important hires and their own effectiveness. He has trained hundreds of executives on how to hire and has experience with executive coaching and development. Mr. Stolz is a certified Myers-Briggs trainer and served as the Head of Strategy for ghSMART. He has assisted Valeant over the past few years with succession planning, merger integration and work with the Board.
Prior to joining ghSMART, Mr. Stolz was a top performing consultant at McKinsey & Company and was a core member of the McKinsey Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products practice as well as a McKinsey certified strategy expert. Previously, Mr. Stolz worked as an investment banking associate with Deutsche Bank and Bank of America specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions in the US and Japan. He has over 5 years of work experience in this capacity.
Mr. Stolz holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in finance from Georgetown University.
