U.S. Grants and Donations
Valeant believes in the value of ongoing education for Health Care Professionals. We occasionally give grants to U.S. organizations that provide independent, professional education initiatives for physicians including Continuing Medical Education (CME). Valeant does not influence the content or the programs and has established policies regarding Grants to ensure that Valeant is in compliance with all federal and state laws and the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education (AACME) standards.
In addition, Valeant may receive requests periodically from physicians or institutions for assistance in the form of free product or funding for clinical or basic research. Valeant is not the sponsor of these studies and they are ancillary to Valeant's own clinical development programs. We believe that investigator-initiated research can however produce important contributions regarding Valeant's products or therapeutic areas of interest to Valeant. Valeant only provides grants for research where the research is intended to address a bona fide scientific question in an area of interest to Valeant.
Valeant's Grant Report allows you to view all grants given to individuals or institutions. The Report lists the individual or institutions that receive a grant from Valeant, a general description of the grant and the amount given.
