Valeant is committed to marketing and developing effective medicines in the infectious disease category. Valeant currently markets two infectious disease products, Ancotil®/Ancobon® (Flucytosine) and Virazole® (ribavirin for inhalation); and licenses the rights to ribavirin to Schering-Plough for Rebetol® and F. Hoffman La-Roche for Copegus®.

Valeant also has a clinical candidate in the pipeline for the treatment of Hepatitis C and is focusing discovery efforts on HIV and Hepatitis C. For more information on these candidates, please visit the Research and Development section of our Web site.

TARIBAVIRIN and RETIGABINE are products in clinical development. None of them have been found to be safe or effective for the treatment of any disease or illness.
